For an assignment Lys was instructed to select and Icon. This Icon could be anything “iconic” ranging from a figure to a business logo, the only twist was that the selected Icon needed to be edited unrecognizable. Lys selected Amelia Earhart, a figure well known from her childhood — even owned the scanned image of her. Her method of distorting the image was derived from the story and following the flight path of her last flight.
